If you’ve recently purchased a new cargo trailer, you may be on the hunt for a few helpful accessories for your new equipment. While there are quite a few different components, upgrades, and parts on the market, we’ve listed the three we think are the most helpful in our short article below.
Moving Blankets
Looking to move some delicate freight in your cargo trailer? Then be sure to invest in some helpful moving blankets before you hitch up and take off! These thick pieces of cloth are perfect for protecting sensitive items from being dented, scratched, or destroyed as you drive, especially if items begin to slide around or happen to bump into each other.
Cargo Net
While cargo trailers are great for carrying large loads of freight, when it comes to small bundles of cargo, things can get a bit tricky. Because freight is typically stacked rather than tied down in a cargo trailer, securing smaller objects can be nearly impossible. That’s why we advise investing in a handy cargo net or two to keep things in place. Simply place your net over or in front of your items and take off—no need to worry about things slipping or sliding as you go.
Sway Bars
Because of their impressive size and weight, cargo trailers are often prone to a bit of sway. While this isn’t normally a huge concern, if you’re carrying an unbalanced load of freight, or it’s an extremely windy day, your trailer could begin to sway drastically and even tip over. To avoid this scenario, we recommend attaching a helpful set of anti-sway bars to your trailer’s hitch, just to be safe.
